Seeing is believing

Seeing is believing

On 16th June we were delighted to welcome Keith King who continued our series on Living in the presence and power of the Holy Spirit.

Unfortunately, due to gremlins in the machinery, there is no recording. However, for those not able to be present, here is a very brief summary.

Keith started by referring to Romans chapter 12: “Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.”

He went onto talk about three themes:

  • Christ died for us;
  • Christ has taken our old lives from us and set us free – Paul described it as “being crucified with Christ”;
  • Now God, through the Holy Spirit, lives and works His purposes out through us.

To have the Holy Spirit is to have unmeasurable power and resources. But, in the words of Ephesians 5, verse 10, we need to ask what are Christ’s purposes for us?
