Sermons by Louise Gilbertson (Page 2)
On 17th October Louise summarised the Called to Grow series so far, and then spoke from Matthew 13: 24-30, the parable of the weeds.
On 3rd October we ran a mission training workshop. The recording starts as Louise summarises a discussion we had on “what is mission?” The video which is played halfway through the session is provided by the London Institute of Contemporary Christianity and can be found here: https://vimeo.com/335414371/e16fb387b0
On 12th September Louise introduced our new series for the Autumn – “Called to grow” – and started the conversation as we journey together through the next chapter in the life of Seer Green Baptist Church.
A short pre-recorded service to introduce our theme for August; “A Time for Everything” from Ecclesiastes 3.
On 6th June we returned to the series from Exodus, and considered “God delivers” from Exodus 14: 1-31.
On 9th May we started a new series: Transitions – a people on the move. Louise spoke from Exodus 6: 1-8 about how God notices his people.
On 25th April we studied Jesus’ prayer in John chapter 17.
The account of Palm Sunday is well known, but Louise challenges us to answer the question “who do we say Jesus is?” The recording starts with a reading from John 12, v12-19.
On 28th February we continued our discussions from two weeks ago about listening to God, listening to each other, and listening to the community.
Louise joined us on 14th February to start the conversation about our calling and about listening to God, each other, and the people around us.
