Mission and vision
Our mission: “To go, to win, to grow – making disciples of Jesus” Our vision: “To be a fruitful community which is rooted in God’s love; is faithful to God’s word; is equipped by God’s Spirit; to share the good news of Jesus with the people of Seer Green and beyond.”
After a break in this sermon series, firstly during the refurbishment, and then for Easter and Pentecost, we returned to our series on our mission and vision. On 2nd July, Andrew used Paul’s words at the start of Romans: “through Jesus Christ we have received grace and apostleship to bring about the obedience of faith for the sake of His name among all the nations” to…
On 5th March, Andrew spoke on one of the ways we can grow as disciples which is by training ourselves.
On 19th February, our good friend Chris Justice from Hope Church in Beaconsfield spoke from 2 Peter chapter 1 about how we can be effective and productive in our Christian lives, and gave the answer: by knowing Jesus better.
On 12th February, Paul Bosson from our church spoke from Ephesians 3, v14-21, about how we can be faithful witnesses.
On 5th February, Andrew moved onto look at how we grow as disciples of Jesus, and spoke about spending time with Jesus, studying the Bible, being open to the Holy Spirit and learning from each other.
On 22nd January, Andrew started to look in detail at what we are called to do, and in particular at how we might make disciples of Jesus.
In early 2017 we started to look at our mission and vision as a church. On 15th January, Chris Justice started by looking at the question “Who are we?” He covered the fact that we are adopted, chosen and called into the family of God.
