Becoming children of God
On 17th March Andrew spoke from 1 Peter chapter 1, and concentrated specifically on the reasons which Peter gives for why we should be holy.
On March 10th Andrew continued our series on “becoming children of God” by speaking from Peter’s second letter, chapter 1. He spoke about how we can seek to become more like Jesus in this life.
On 3rd March we were delighted to welcome Dave Criddle from Gold Hill Church. Dave continued our study of the book of Philippians, speaking from chapter 3, verses 4 to 14. The theme was we shouldn’t define ourselves by what we have done, but rather by what Jesus has done for us.
On 17th February Andrew picked up on one of the points introduced by Chris last week, and asked how do we really commune with God?
Last Sunday Andrew spoke from Philippians 2 and asked the question “how do we actually work out our own salvation?” which Paul instructs us to do in verse 12. On 10th February, Chris Justice picked up the theme and spoke about what Jesus meant when he says “Follow me”.
On 3rd February Andrew started a new series which will take us through the next few months: “Becoming children of God”. The talk starts with a reading from Philippians 2 v5-16.
