Paul and Lynne Round have worked with WEC International, an international mission agency, for 27 years. Paul heads up the Youth Dept. whilst Lynne is part of the Member Care Support network of WEC UK. Having been based at the WEC Headquarters in Gerrards Cross for those 27 years, they have recently moved up to North Wales, where they have an office in Sandycroft (a 15 minute drive from Chester), and live in the small town of Buckley. They have 3 grown up children and two grandsons.
The main flagship of WEC Youth’s ministry is their summer camp programmes. These run over 5 weeks and cater for children from the age of 9 to 17. WEC Camps offer a life-changing holiday under canvas, with Bible teaching and a world focus. Each camp has a strong Christian basis, with the ethos of interaction, fun and adventure. Young people come as individuals as well as in groups.
WEC Youth also runs World Adventure programmes in partnership with local churches. These can be a day event, weekend or holiday club. Interactive in style, they help children learn what it is like to live and work for God in other parts of the world. They are tailor-made programmes to suit individual churches, linking with their supporting missionaries.
The WEC Youth Office also has over 1,000 resources available to borrow, ranging from costumes to artefacts, in addition to teaching material. These can be used in school assemblies and lessons as well as church events.
